15 Weeks Baby!!

Ok, here we are at week 15!
Oh, and Happy New Year, and I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Around next week and on is when I should start feeling this little cookie start kicking!! They say it actually feels more like bubbles at first, or butterflies, but I can't wait!!
It's weird that the last appt. was the last time I heard the heartbeat and any other thing relating to develpment. It just makes me nervous not being able to hear the heartbeat myself, or feel anything because I just want to make sure everything is ok.......

It's amazing to look at this picture and to think that is the size of the baby now...well with a microscope.

Here is an update on development.
At around 4 inches long, crown to rump, your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. He's busy inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, which will help develop the air sacs in his lungs. His legs are growing longer than his arms now, and he can move all his joints and limbs. That means his hands are more functional, too. Sweat glands are appearing, and although his eyelids are fused shut, he can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, he's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but his taste buds are beginning to form. And if you have an ultrasound, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or girl! (Don't be disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down the gender depends somewhat on how clear the picture is and the position of your baby during the ultrasound; he may be curled or turned in such a way as to keep you in suspense.)

Well, my next appt. is on January 4th, to have the Quadruple Screening. We won't be having an ultrasound to find out if everything is ok, and hopefully the gender until the Feb. visit.

OH MY!!!!

I had a dream that I was on a Chick Fil A cruise on a yacht and all they served was Chick Fil A food. It was the best cruise ever! Thats what I crave the most!

Needless to say as soon as I got up, Lupe and I went to eat breakfast there!

And the water dreams that my sister said I would have started. My otehr dream was that me & Lupe were going to get a child's bed that someone was throwing away, and we had to swim to get to it. So we were hanging on this crappy life preserver and Lupe was weighing it down and I was almost drowning!!

Crazy funny dreams!!

12 Weeks

The first trimester is officially over!!

So I hear that the tiredness will stop, but not sure when.....I'm still really freakin' tired! I can't even wake up in the morning!! I don't want to get out of bed, I don't' want to get out of the shower. I have been laying back down after the shower, then I have to start the process all over again with getting out of bed!!!

Man, I wish it were summer already! I'm so looking forward to Christmas break.

Your baby's hit the 2-inch mark (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. Her face is beginning to look more human. Her eyes, which started out on the sides of her head, have moved closer together on her face, and her ears are near their final positions on the sides of her head. Well, we went yesterday and heard the baby's heartbeat!!!

It was a moving experience hearing the little body inside working so hard to develop. Lupe went to, and it was so exciting to hear it!

It was so fast and the dr. said it's because the baby is working so hard and that it will slow down in a couple of months!

oh and I lost 2 and a half pounds!

I am not sure how, but at least I didn't get the 3rd degree for gaining too much!

It's Dr. time this week.................. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Im a little scared that I may have gained more than the 2 pounds I was allowed!! I mean are you kidding me?? It's been 4 weeks, and Thanksgiving...... so we shall see...I will have my lightest weighing clothes and shoes on Wednesday to get ready for the mean ol' scale!!!!



They called and wanted to re-schedule my appt.... so I guess thats good, but we shall see.....

The little bambino!

WOW!! 9 weeks! it seems like it's already taken a long time to get here. Looking at what is inside my belly looks like the beginning of an actual baby!! Wow!! its so AMAZING! little hands, and starting to get the little feet that will be kicking me soon! I can see a little ear, and eyes forming...God is such a genius!

So the Dr. has strict orders for the "right foods"....
There are no more excuses since I have now been to the Dr. and he has told me all the rules!!

Lupe is already being a "Food Nazi" and is keeping me in check. I really want Chick Fil A- chicken sandwich with polynesian sauce and some waffle fries...... but, I have been told by the dr. that there is nothing for me at fast food places, so don't even go there. :(

I can see it!!

Ok- look on the picture and there is a little black sack with white inside (towards the top on the upper left side). So in that black sack (it looks like 2 bubbles in it) is the baby "bean" and it's attached to the yolk sack....I will attach a pic. from baby center on what you are actually looking at!!

it was very exciting to get that confirmation and to see a little flutter of a heartbeat!!!

Ah Soy!!

Oh my goodness I am LOVING chinese food right now....that is ALL I want!!! I am craving egg rolls most of all.

I wish I lived closer to Thanh Phuong in Pearland,.....I would bathe in that sweet and sour sauce these days!! dang, its making me think about taking a little road trip........hmmm.....

what am I doing???

ok, so I have such funny moments like the other day in the shower I washed my face with my conditioner.....oh my goodness, Im losing it!!!

so lupe will hand me something to bring in the car when we go somewhere, and when we get half down the road I ask him where it is and he just looks at me so irritated!! i leave it behind.....I mean Im doing good to remember putting on my shoes and bringing my purse- so he shouldn't give me anything to try and remember!!!

I was already not so good at remembering anything, so now Im hopeless!! I hope the small piece of my brain that I once had returns after the tadpole gets here!!

I love our home! It's so nice to come home and have a parking space every day, it's fun to cook in my new kitchen, and fun to water the yard!

It's not fun to have so much construction around, and hear nail guns at 6:30am on saturdays and to get nails in your tires from driving down your street!!!

Our street is growing so fast we will have about 7 neighbors in a couple of months, and so it will be sad not to see all the greenery, but exciting to meet new people........
I hope they are as cool as we are!! hahah

Oh the Nursery!

We have decided on the theme! Its called Froggy Tales by Lambs & Ivy!! It's something neutral for either boy or girl!!

Things are going well except for the tiredness! I wake up tired......even if I go to bed at 8:30pm!!! Im blessed not to have the sickness that some of my friends have had, but the tiredness is hard to make it thru the work day!!!! Especially with 18 - 5yr. olds!!!

Wow, it really hit me on Sunday.......SLEEP Deprivation!
I have always heard how pregnant ladies are tired, but my goodness
I could have stayed in bed all day on sunday and everyday since then!
Now granted it could be from that huge storm we had the other night that kept me up, or that pesky cat that lives in our house who likes to wake us up because he is hungry!!
But, all in all I am TIRED!!!!
I wish kindergarten still had nap time......

Developing!

Ok, so baby center said this is the 4 week picture- WOW!!!
I cant believe that this is what is going on inside my body. How amazingly awesome! God sure is a genius. I can't stay off babycenter.com
Its a great site and I put in the due date and it gives me a day by day of symptoms and things that are going on. One day I will be hearing a cute voice call me mommy, because right now all I hear are not so cute voices saying Mrs. Silva, Mrs. Silva, Mrs. Silva!!! aaaahhhhh!!

I like this picture for today because I have really noticed how much I can smell now!! I have super sense of smell!!! When I walk down the 1st grade hall my nose is bombarded with a strange smell coming from the bi-lingual class. It is strong whatever it is and not in the good way!!!
Whew!!!

The first REAL day!

I told ONE person here at work....that is HUGE for me!!! Im usually such a blabber mouth!! It is my team leader and she was VERY excited!! So far it has been so nice to hear how excited everyone gets when they hear the news!! I was afraid I would loose my lunch when my team starting talking about eggs while I was eating. They were eating cafeteria food, and the menu was "breakfast for lunch" so there were these odd looking scrambled eggs that looked disgusting on the plate across from me. It took all my energy to keep my eyes on the wall behind her, because I didn't want to be too obvious and have everyone realize my little precious secret!!

Is that positive??

Just found out on Oct. 9th at around 5:30pm. I was by myself and was so excited but had no one to celebrate with!! So I waited for Lupe to call and couldn't wait to tell him in person so I told him on the phone. He thought I was kidding, but trying to speak thru my tears let him know how serious I was!! Wow!! I feel like it's the night before Christmas, and I can't imagine that I will be getting any sleep or work done from here on out!!!
